HPS Golf Classic Contributions
Since its inception, the HPS Annual Golf Classic has grown year over year — both in participation and in charitable impact. The generosity of our sponsors and golfers has enabled us to make increasingly meaningful contributions to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

A note on our model: The HPS Golf Classic is structured so that sponsorship packages roughly cover the venue and event costs, while add-on sponsorships (tee signs, refreshments, brunch, cocktail hour, gift bags) generate the net proceeds that go directly to charity. This means that every tee sign, every refreshments sponsorship, and every gift bag sponsor is directly funding a mortgage-free home or a scholarship.
The Story of Tunnel to Towers
On September 11, 2001, firefighter Stephen Siller had just finished his shift when he heard the news of the attacks. He drove to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, strapped on 60 pounds of gear, and ran 3.2 miles through the tunnel to the World Trade Center — where he gave his life trying to save others.
His family founded the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in his memory, and what began as a small 5K run has grown into one of America's most impactful charities — raising over $1 billion to support first responders, veterans, and their families.
The Foundation's programs are direct, tangible, and life-changing: they don't just write checks — they build homes, pay off mortgages, and provide stability to families who have sacrificed everything.
Where Your Dollars Go
Tunnel to Towers operates four core programs, each targeting a specific group of Americans who have sacrificed for our country and deserve our support.
Fallen First Responder Homes
When a law enforcement officer or firefighter is killed in the line of duty and leaves behind young children, Tunnel to Towers pays off the mortgage on the family home — ensuring the children don't lose their home on top of their parent.
Gold Star Family Homes
For military families who lose a service member in combat, Tunnel to Towers provides mortgage-free homes to surviving spouses and their children — giving them stability during the most difficult time of their lives.
Smart Homes for Veterans
For catastrophically injured veterans — those who have lost multiple limbs or been paralyzed — Tunnel to Towers builds custom smart homes equipped with the technology and accessibility features they need to live independently.
Ending Veteran Homelessness
Tunnel to Towers is working to end veteran homelessness in America by providing housing and support services to veterans living on the streets — because no one who served this country should sleep without a roof.
HPS Kids Scholarship Fund
In addition to supporting Tunnel to Towers, proceeds from the HPS Golf Classic also benefit the HPS Kids Scholarship Fund — a program that provides educational scholarships to children of HPS members and industry colleagues.
The scholarship fund reflects HPS's commitment to its members and their families — investing in the next generation of New York City's building management community.
